WWE released a lot of people from the company over the last week. That followed over 100 firings on a corporate level the previous week. This included some people losing their jobs who really wanted to stay with WWE, but one of them actually asked to leave.

Yulisa Leon was among the wrestlers released by WWE on September 21st. Her last match took place on the August 1st episode of NXT, where she teamed up with Valentina Feroz but faced defeat against Elektra Lopez and Lola Vice.

Yulisa Leon posted on X to reveal that she actually asked to leave WWE. That being said, her departure was not a terribly sad moment for her, because she is getting what she asked for.

To my dear fans and general public.

No price is too high to fight for what you are and what you want: To be the woman of your dreams.

I thank the WWE & NXT Universe for honoring me with the opportunity to be the first Mexican woman under contract (as a wrestler).

I learned what I never imagined, I enjoyed like never before & I will stay with the great experiences and incredible friendships but for personal reasons, I took the decision to ask to be released from my contract.

I will let you know the reasons at a later time & I am deeply grateful for the facilities and for leaving the doors open for me.

I am still focused on my next projects, expect to hear from me very soon.

We will have to see what Yulisa Leon does next. She could have a bright future ahead of her, but now she no longer has a commitment to show up at the WWE Performance Center to continue her quest with WWE.

The company is a revolving door for some talent, because the company is bound to find people who want to be there, and Yulisa Leon is now off to fulfill her destiny elsewhere.
