AEW has their eyes on the entire pro wrestling world, and it appears that they are about to lock another young star down with a contract. That’s not to say that she doesn’t have other options, but Tony Khan seems confident about this signing.
Mariah May is currently a talent in the Japanese wrestling promotion World Wonder Ring Stardom. At just 25 years old, she has garnered attention within the pro wrestling industry, and major promotions like WWE and AEW expressed interest in signing her.
Tony Khan has apparently secured Mariah May’s services for All Elite Wrestling. While speaking to The Mike & JD Show, Scott E Wrestling stated that Mariah May is on her way to the land of All Elite.
“Yeah, so she’s hinting at the 30th being her last day. She’s very heavily, like her most recent tweet that I saw was like ‘this is a very big day for me, and you’ll all know why soon,’ and it’s like ‘ok well, we know but we don’t know…I think we are going to see her in October…in AEW…the more..I’ve heard enough from different spots that, they’re all coming together, that’s it’s imminent that she’s going there, and i just can’t get away from the fact that she’s going to be there…and if that’s the case, this is someone you build around.”
We will have to see if Mariah May makes her way to AEW sooner than later. There is apparently interest in her, and there may be a few places where they can use her in the company.
AEW is going through a lot right now as a company, but they are still producing television three times a week, four if there is a pay-per-view (not counting ROH). In the meantime, we will have to see what Tony Khan does next, because he might just have a surprise or two in the pipeline.
