WWE brought another episode of SmackDown, to end a week when the company saw roster cuts, and Matt Riddle’s release hit right before the show went live. How did the viewership turn out?

According to Alfred Konuwa, the September 22nd episode of WWE SmackDown drew an overnight viewership of 2.11 million viewers, and 758K of those were in the 18 to 49 demographic. This was the first episode the company ran on FOX after it was announced that the USA Network secured the show’s next television rights deal, which will be a five-year contract starting in 2024.
SmackDown’s September 15th episode brought in an overnight average of 2.445 million, with a 834k of those in the treasured 18 to 49 demographic. This episode brought a lot of action for fans, including a spinebuster and a People’s Elbow on Austin Theory in the near twenty-minute opening segment of the show. The Rock also appeared once again just before the 1st hour closed, but did not appear during the 2nd hour, except a highlight clip that they played.
The September 8th episode of WWE SmackDown brought in an overnight viewership of 1.969 million, with a .47 in the 18 to 49 demographic. That episode was the aftermath following WWE Payback.
The September 1st episode of WWE SmackDown brought in an average of 2.28 million viewers, with a .6 in the 18 to 49 demographic. This was their go-home episode before WWE Payback.
WWE SmackDown on August 25th averaged 2.505 million viewers. They also scored a .71 in the 18 to 49 demographic for the emotional episode, which was a tribute to Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk.
SmackDown’s episode on August 18th brought in 2.233 million viewers, with a .53 in the 18 to 49 demographic. This episode did not include any Bloodline members, but the Toronto show focused on Edge.
The August 11th episode brought in an overnight average of 2.650 million viewers, with a .6 in the 18 to 49 demographic. It might be worth noting that some markets saw a game instead.
This week’s SmackDown featured AJ Styles vs Karrion Kross, in a match that contained a lot of botches. The main event match saw Rey Mysterio win the United States Title. Also, Jey Uso quit WWE to conclude the night.
The August 4th episode of WWE SmackDown brought in an overnight viewership of 2.15 million, with 744k of those in the 18 to 49 demographic, which was #1 in their demographic for the night.
The July 28th episode of WWE SmackDown brought in an overnight viewership of 2.17 million viewers. That was the fast national number, but it was further theorized that the actual number will be between 2.23 million and 2.34 million viewers.
July 21st’s episode of SmackDown on FS1 brought in 1.182 million viewers, this number was up 31% from the last time they were on FS1. Out of that number, 448k were in the treasured 18 to 49 demographic.
The July 14th episode of WWE SmackDown brought in an overnight average of 2.157 million viewers, with a .54 in the 18 to 49 demographic.
The July 7th episode of WWE SmackDown brought in an overnight viewership of 2.375 million, with a .7 in the 18 to 49 demographic. That was their Money in the Bank fallout, and the Bloodline’s segment got over 30 minutes to kick off the broadcast.
The June 30th episode of WWE SmackDown brought in an overnight average of 2,510,000 viewers, with a .69 in the 18 to 49 demographic.
