After WWE and UFC finished their merger last week, fans feared the worst as they expected numerous cuts from WWE. That already happened as they fired over 100 staff from their headquarters. They would then start releasing several Superstars over the past couple of days and that includes Ikemen Jiro. Now it appears Jiro broke his silence regarding his release.
We previously reported that Mustafa Ali said he is no longer working with WWE. It was then revealed that Emma was released as well. Riddick Moss later joined his fiancé in free agency.
It was later reported that Rock Boogs was released from his contract. That’s not all as the likes of Aliyah, Shelton Benjamin and even Elias followed suit in a matter of minutes.
As for the NXT side of things, the likes of Ikemen Jiro was also released from his contract. Jiro took to Twitter and commented on his release, as he made it clear he was grateful for the opportunity to work in WWE for the last three years.
Thank you @WWE and WWE universe
I was there just 3 years, There were so many special memories and great friends.
What’s NEXTI WILL
Ikemen Jiro’s release from WWE was especially baffling for those in NXT. It remains to be seen whether Ikemen Jiro will find a new home soon enough, as his talents will be beneficial to any pro wrestling promotion he joins.
What do you think of Ikemen Jiro’s release? Do you think WWE should have booked him better? Sound off in the comments!
