Matt Riddle joined the latest string of WWE releases, and that came as a huge surprise for some fans. Of course, this followed a string of headlines about his extracurricular activities outside the squared circle.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that he was told that Matt Riddle had “burned through” too many chances with WWE.

Those we’ve spoken to claimed that since then, Riddle was not factored into immediate creative plans. He was doing some grappling training per usual this week, and was said to be in good spirits before his release. However, one WWE higher up said that he burned through too many chances while in WWE.

Ringside News exclusively reported that we were told that multiple attempts were made to de-escalate the situation with Matt Riddle before things got physical. This situation at JFK airport was described as “a disturbance” caused by Riddle.

The King of Bros made some passive-aggressive references that things might not be okay. You also can’t discount the controversy surrounding his leaked sex tape, and the constant burials he receives online from his ex.

We will have more of Matt Riddle’s story, and everything else there is to unpack, right here at Ringside News. What’s your take on it all? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you’re thinking!
