Daniel McArthur was released from WWE today, where he was training at the Performance Center. He let everyone know about this with a text graphic that he shared on social media.
“As of today my journey with WWE has officially ended. It was a great journey and got to meet a lot of great people. Truly a blessing, but now onto bigger and better things! Stay tuned for what’s next. Thank you to everyone who made my WWE experience amazing!”
Daniel McArthur was signed after the WWE SummerSlam 2022 tryouts. He is a four-time NCAA All-American and ACC Track & Field Champion from the University of North Carolina. He holds both the indoor and outdoor shot put records at UNC and attended the 2020 Olympic Trials.
Sadly, Daniel McArthur never made his in-ring debut for WWE, but that’s not to say he won’t get his reps in elsewhere. Only time will tell what Daniel McArthur is able to do next, but his time in WWE is over.
Mustafa Ali requested his release in 2021, and people in NXT had no idea he was on his way out. Also, Elias was pitching ideas to WWE creative up until a month before his release from the company. Paul Heyman also had Riddick Moss in mind as a top WWE main event level Superstar. Dolph Ziggler’s release was also a surprise today, because the veteran’s contract wasn’t up until next Summer.
Dana Brooke was a tough cut for NXT today, as she was released from her WWE contract. Shanky was cut from his WWE contract today. WWE had just got back from India’s Superstar Spectacle event. Also, Dabba Kato was released from the company, marking an end to his run with WWE’s NXT brand. Also, Mace and Mansoor were both released today, which effectively fired both members of Maximum Male Models at the same time.
We’re sending out our best to everyone who was released today. Hopefully, they all land on their feet in the end.
