WWE and UFC’s merger into TKO soon brought cuts. Over 100 employees were fired from their company HQ, and a slew of roster cuts came today. Now, we have another name to add to that list.

Brooklyn Barlow took to her Instagram story and she dropped a sad update. She informed her followers that she is no longer employed by WWE.
“As of today, I am no longer with NXT. Grateful to have experienced the WWE universe and everything that comes along with it. The two most important days of your life are the day you are born and the day you find out WHY. Thank you.”
Brooklyn Barlow appeared on WWE television for the first time during the March 8th, 2022 episode of NXT Level Up, where she faced Ivy Nile but didn’t secure a victory. Her most recent match was on the August 18 episode of NXT Level Up, where she faced Dani Palmer, resulting in a loss. Unfortunately, she is no longer with WWE following today’s mass releases.
Her only NXT television match went down on the June 6th episode of NXT when she participated in the WWE NXT Women’s Title #1 Contendership Battle Royal.
We will have to see what’s next for Brooklyn Barlow in NXT. Obviously, she has a bright future ahead of her at this point, but she won’t be continuing with WWE.
WWE also fired two NXT Superstars before they were even allowed to make a television debut. Dabba Kato was also released from his contract, along with Dana Brooke. It is a sad time for WWE right now, because cuts are never easy.
In other news surrounding today’s releases, Mustafa Ali requested his release in 2021, and people in NXT had no idea he was on his way out. Also, Elias was pitching ideas to WWE creative up until a month before his release from the company. Paul Heyman also had Riddick Moss in mind as a top WWE main event level Superstar. Dolph Ziggler’s release was also a surprise today, because the vetern’s contract wasn’t up until next Summer.
We’re sending out our best to everyone who lost their job today. Hopefully, they can bounce back and find employment very soon.
