Tiffany Stratton has established herself as one of the top NXT Superstars in the women’s division after debuting back in 2021. She was destined for greatness thanks to her dedication to her craft. Stratton won the NXT Women’s Title and had been booked well as the champion. However, she lost the title to Becky Lynch on NXT last week and many believed WWE buried her. Now it appears Stratton shut down such claims recently.
Becky Lynch returned to the developmental brand a couple of weeks ago where it was confirmed she would challenge Tiffany Stratton for the NXT Women’s Championship on NXT the following week.
The Man and NXT’s resident Buff Barbie put on a solid contest, as it could have gone in anyone’s favor. In the end, Big Time Becks was the victor and became the new NXT Women’s Champion.
Many people believed WWE simply ended up burying Tiffany Stratton by having her lose to The Man. While speaking to WrestlingNews.co, Tiffany Stratton addressed claims that Becky Lynch buried her after beating her for the title. Stratton made it clear that is not the case whatsoever, instead adding that it simply elevated her.
“No, not even in the slightest. I feel like even being in the same ring with Becky Lynch just immediately makes my stock go up. I definitely feel like Becky brought out the best in me in that match. And even though I lost the title, I feel like I did not come out with a loss. Like I feel like I gained so much from that one match, even though I lost.
She’s always trying to help out the younger talent. She wants the best for everybody there. And you can definitely tell that for sure.”
Becky Lynch is set to defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Tiffany Stratton in an Extreme Rules match at NXT No Mercy on Septemebr 30th. It remains to be seen whether The Man will be able to retain her title again NXT’s resident Buff Barbie.
