Update: WWE has released Emma from her contract. We will have to see if there are more.

Original: Mustafa Ali surprised fans in a big way when he announced that he is no longer working with WWE. That was a bit of a shock for fans who were just getting used to seeing him on NXT. It appears that his exit is not a sign of anything greater.

We did not know whether more departures from WWE would come in the form of talent releases after Mustafa Ali’s post. After all, the company fired over 100 people from their offices last week.

Sean Sapp posted on X to report that Mustafa Ali’s situation is unique. His exit is not a part of anything greater going on within WWE.

I’m told by WWE that Mustafa Ali saying he’s no longer working with WWE is not due to any broader talent cuts.

Sean Sapp later clarified that, “I’ve been told there was a misunderstanding, and there are rumblings that there will be some talent cuts today in WWE unfortunately.” Even if Mustafa Ali’s separation from WWE is mutual, and a different story from other releases. WWE sadly, saw a lot of releases that followed.

Emma was released today as well. It was later reported that Rock Boogs was released from his contract. Sadly, Aliyah’s name joined that list later. It didn’t take long for fans to hear about Elias’ release. Top Dolla’s name joined those releases as well. Riddick Moss later joined Emma’s in the list of releases.

We will have to see what is next for Mustafa Ali, but he seems very excited about his own future. His departure from the company has apparently been confirmed, but other WWE Superstars don’t need to get nervous about getting a phone call about their release today.

Mustafa Ali was a part of the NXT roster, but he was still a main roster talent. The details of his deal are not known at this time.

Mustafa Ali never quite got a great chance in WWE, but what’s to blame for that? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you think!
