Christian Cage has been hailed as one of the best heels in AEW right now, especially after his solid feuds with the likes of Jack Perry, Darby Allin and more. Cage is also set for a major title match soon and it appears AEW is extremely high on Cage at the moment.

Throughout his career in WWE, Christian was always seen as the weaker half of his team with Edge. Even then, Captain Charisma has carved his path in the world of professional wrestling and is now one of AEW’s most hated heels, largely thanks to his solid promo skills.

For the past few weeks now, Christian Cage has been announcing himself as the TNT Champion and even carries it with him, even though Luchasaurus is the actual champion.

During AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, Christian laid out a challenge to Darby Allin for a triple threat match between himself, Allin and Luchasaurus for the TNT Title. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that AEW is very high on Christian Cage right now and could very well make him the legitimate champion.

“I know that there are people very, very high on Christian right now, so that wouldn’t surprise me at all (Christian pinning Luchasaurus in the TNT Championship three-way match set for Collision that also features Darby Allin).”

Christian Cage also signed a long-term contract with AEW recently, so he will be sticking with the company for the foreseeable future. It remains to be seen whether Cage will end up becoming the TNT Champion in the future.
