Toni Storm was once in WWE, and she didn’t have the best run. After requesting her release, and having it granted, she was finally able to find her way to AEW. Now, Tony Khan now has positive remarks about her progress and how she stands on top of the pro wrestling world.

Despite Toni Storm losing the AEW Women’s Championship to Hikaru Shida at AEW Dynamite 200, she remains a top star in the women’s division. Her opportunity to reclaim the title comes at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, where she’ll be facing Saraya.

While speaking to Josh Martinez on Superstar Crossover, Tony Khan was asked about Storm’s work. He had an absolutely glowing review as well.

“I think Toni Storm is doing some of the best work in all of pro wrestling right now. She’s a former Women’s World Champion two times. She’s had a great partnership with Saraya, and really, we saw Saraya have just this beautiful moment at Wembley Stadium.”

“I thought it was really cool to have somebody who is one of the biggest wrestling stars in England have that great moment winning the World Title in front of her family, having all her family and friends there at ringside to cheer her on. I think Toni Storm was already hanging on by a very thin thread emotionally, and we’ve seen it’s been very compelling. You know, I agree with you. Highly entertaining in recent weeks, the way Toni Storm has been losing her mind, and personally, I really enjoy working with Toni Storm. I think she’s a great talent, and I think we are on to something really special with Toni Storm right now.”

Saraya had a huge moment in Wembley Stadium as she won the AEW Women’s World Tile. Only time will tell if Toni Storm will have a big night at Arthur Ashe Stadium just a few weeks later.

The fact that Saraya and Toni Storm are both in the Outcasts stable also adds a layer of intrigue to things. Keep checking back with us here at Ringside News for more on this story, and so many more in the pro wrestling world.
