As Ringside News reported in our early spoilers of AEW Rampage Grand SLAM, Santana and Ortiz started a feud at tonight’s tapings. Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that this will play off of and hopefully pay off the real life issues that the two have faced for nearly two years.

Santana and Ortiz’s feud kicked off tonight after the two legitimately grew apart in 2022, to the point where they didn’t want to team together. AEW sources indicated the two legitimately no longer see eye to eye but agreed to team together at All In, then launch a feud after, which is why their social media posts taking shots at each other were so public.

Since early 2022, Ortiz and Eddie Kingston have had differences with Santana, although the exact reasons remain undisclosed. According to individuals within AEW, Eddie Kingston has continued to express his thoughts on the matter even after Santana’s return but has shown willingness to collaborate with him.

We will have to see what AEW has in store for this feud. Santana and Ortiz had a ready-made rivalry, especially with their real-life heat. Obviously, this situation could get brutal.
