MJF considers himself a generational talent, and he clearly has many ways to back up his claims. Maxwell is now the AEW World Champion and his drawing ability cannot be denied. Now it appears MJF was responsible for a sizeable surge in ticket sales for AEW Grand Slam.
The Salt of The Earth is truly dedicated to his craft and never breaks character no matter what, whether it is inside or outside the ring. He is undoubtedly the top star in AEW and the results speak for themselves.
As previously reported, AEW Grand Slam’s ticket sales were not looking good for Arthur Ashe Stadium just recently. However, according to PWInsider, their AEW sources noted that AEW had a sizeable surge in ticket sales on Tuesday evening due to MJF’s appearance on CBS New York as well as his appearance at a New York Mets game over the weekend. It was further noted that it was the largest day of ticket sales since Grand Slam actually went on sale.
AEW sources noted Tuesday evening that they had a sizable surge in Grand Slam ticket sales on Tuesday in part due to local media in NYC, including MJF on CBS New York and his appearance at a New York Mets game over the weekend. It was the largest day of ticket sales since Grand Slam actually went on sale, which obviously AEW needed. There has been a big blitz of media over the last few days.
MJF is also going into AEW Grand Slam while injured for his match against Samoa Joe. It remains to be seen whether The Salt of The Earth will be able to retain his title against The Samoan Submission Machine.
What’s your opinion on MJF being responsible for AEW Grand Slam selling more tickets? Is he now AEW’s biggest draw? Let us know in the comments!
