LA Knight made a significant impression after his debut at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day on February 14th, 2021. While Knight is one of the most over WWE Superstars right now, many still feel he is nothing more than a ripoff and this includes Kevin Nash. Now it appears Konnan defended LA Knight after Nash went after him yet again.
WWE Hall Of Famer Kevin Nash previously blasted LA Knight for being a ripoff of The Rock and Steve Austin. Nash even doubled down on his comments and had no intention of apologizing for what he had to say.
Nash would then claim that Triple H doesn’t want to pay LA Knight a lot of money. While speaking on the Keeping It 100 podcast, Konnan talked about Kevin Nash’s recent criticism and defended LA Knight.
”We had Eli Drake on the show, I actually brought that up to him. I said hey, you catered to a lot like The Rock, and he went into an explanation. He agreed. He’s not even denying it. This is what I would tell Kevin, because Kevin is no longer in the business, except probably for the podcast he does with that guy Oliver. We’re a lot more attuned with the business, while he is looking it afar. And he’s like ‘Oh look they’re ripping him off.’
But bro, I would ask Kevin why aren’t you burying AJ and the OC, because they always do the Too Sweet and now we have the Bullet Club Gold in AEW and they do the Too Sweet, why wouldn’t I get mad? I was also part of the Wolf Pack and nWo but it keeps it alive bro, it’s cool. I’ve had people go ‘Hey man can I do the rolling clothesline and tequila?’ Like yeah bro I’ve got no problem, because they’re honoring you.”
LA Knight also snagged another top WWE spot earlier this year. Regardless, LA Knight is undoubtedly one of the most over stars in WWE right now and the company sees big things in him, so it is unlikely Knight cares what Nash had to say.
What do you think of what Konnan had to say? Do you think LA Knight faces a lot of needless criticism? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
