WWE has plans for RAW every week before the show, but the card is always subject to change. Vince McMahon was making alterations again, and that called for a bit of a change for a couple of segments.
Ringside News exclusively reported on why it was decided to pull Tegan Nox from her NXT Women’s Title match against Becky Lynch. Vince McMahon’s thought was they wanted an established star like Natalya against Becky Lynch for the first NXT Women’s Title defense on RAW.
We previously reported that Judgment Day’s plan for WWE RAW this week were switched up a bit. JD McDonagh was supposed to be on the show, where he would lead Dominik Mysterio to the ring, but that didn’t happen. Now, we have an update on the situation.
Ringside News was told by a tenured member of the WWE creative team that JD McDonagh missing that appearance on WWE RAW was, “just a one-week thing for now”
JD McDonagh was originally on the show, but it changed. We were explicitly told that, “it’s not a big deal.” So, this week’s episode of RAW, and the fact that JD McDonagh was taken off the show, is no indication of any problems with him creatively in WWE.
JD McDonagh was a favorite of Triple H and Shawn Michaels in NXT UK. He finally made his way up to the main roster, where he has all the potential in the world to be a big star, but it will take some time to find his place. That being said, his story with the Judgment Day is not over yet.
