IYO Sky Has Homecoming In Tokyo After WWE Women’s Title Win

WWE Superstars have very busy lives, and they don’t get to spend a ton of time at home. This is also very true for IYO Sky, because she has to travel a lot longer to make a trip to Japan.

IYO SKY became WWE Women’s Champion by cashing in her Money in the Bank contract on Bianca Belair at SummerSlam. This was a bit of a shock for the EST of WWE, because she had just won the title from Asuka moments prior to that. Naturally, IYO Sky and Damage CTRL have been celebrating since then, but Sky just recently had a chance to celebrate in Japan.

SKY celebrated her victory by sharing photos of herself with the championship in Tokyo on Twitter. This was a big deal for her, and she was all smiles as well.

Although IYO Sky’s championship win followed in Asuka’s footsteps, the two stars have been engaged in a feud on WWE TV since SKY’s title win. The Empress of Tomorrow recently defeated SKY’s Damage CTRL teammate Bayley on September 15’s SmackDown. In her second title defense, SKY will face Asuka on this week’s SmackDown in Glendale, Arizona.

We will have to see how things pan out for IYO Sky as she takes on Asuka. At least she was able to take a trip to Japan with the title so she could return home as a champion.

It looks like IYO Sky took that trip to Japan without her Damage CTRL sisters, but Bayley and Dakota Kai may be present for her match against Asuka. For more on this story, and so many more, please keep it tuned with us here at Ringside News.
