AEW knows a thing or two about pro wrestling history, and he has paid homage to that fact many times. Before his match against Samoa Joe at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, The Devil had another surprise in store.

MJF paid homage to the famous 1995 promo of Bret Hart and a little kid. This time he put his own spin on things.
The little kid looked at MJF just like that boy did for the Hitman years ago. However, Bret Hart never told the kid that he’s adopted. Apparently, that’s what MJF did.
PW Insider noted that the little boy in MJF’s promo wasn’t an orphan at all. In fact, he is the son of Craig Steele, who is a star at WrestlePro.
The child in the great MJF backstage vignette was WrestlePro star Craig Steele’s son Austin. He did an awesome job.
If you are young to know, the vignette was a parody of a great Bret Hart vignette from the early 1990s.
AEW Dynamite Grand Slam ended with MJF defending his AEW World Title against Samoa Joe. In the end, Joe lost to the Salt of the Earth, and MJF had quite a night in Arthur Ashe Stadium.
