Matt Cardona, formerly known as Zack Ryder during his time in WWE, struggled to gain significant screen time and was unable to truly break out as a star there. He was eventually released by WWE in 2020 and went on to achieve greater success outside the organization. He is never afraid of pushing the envelope and parodying other pro wrestlers and now it appears Matt Cardona parodied an iconic segment featuring The Undertaker.

After his WWE release, Matt Cardona truly reinvented himself in the independent circuit. Cardona especially made a name for himself in Impact Wrestling and GCW, where he became the World Champion in the latter promotion.

He eventually came to be known as the Indy God as well as the Death Match King, especially thanks to his current partnership with Steph De Lander. Cardona took to Twitter and uploaded a side-by-side video of an iconic segment with The Undertaker when he tried to kidnap Stephanie McMahon and his own parody, which also featured Steph De Lander.

WHERE TO STEPHANIE???!!!

Matt Cardona also previously stole The Undertaker’s gimmick during a GCW event. Cardona is certainly having the run of his life in the independent circuit right now, so we’ll have to see if he will ever return to WWE somewhere down the line.
