Colt Cabana Confirms He Won’t Be At WWE Survivor Series Amid CM Punk Return Speculation

Colt Cabana is currently part of the ROH roster and remains one of the most beloved stars backstage in AEW and ROH. Before joining Tony Khan’s company, Cabana was a big name in the indies. That said, it appears that Cabana confirmed he won’t be at Survivor Series this year, while rumors of CM Punk’s WWE return run rampant.

Colt Cabana signed with WWE back in 2007, where he was relatively unknown around that time. He made his debut on the August 15th, 2008 episode of SmackDown, where Cabana was known as Scotty Goldman and was largely used as enhancement talent and nothing more.

Colt Cabana was eventually released by WWE in February 2009 after failing to connect with fans. He also has a bitter relationship with CM Punk and fans wondered if Punk would come back to WWE after CM Punk’s firing.

While speaking on Bakers Bantering, Colt Cabana was asked by Derek, a young wrestling fan with Down syndrome, if he would be at WWE Survivor Series. Cabana made it clear he will not be appearing at the event.

“He asks the hard questions, and that’s why he’s the number one podcaster in St. Louis, I respect it. Derek, yes, WWE is coming to Chicago for Survivor Series, but for the past four years, AEW has also been in Chicago the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I’m hoping that AEW continues that tradition, I assume we will, I will not be appearing at Survivor Series, but I will be at AEW in Chicago because I am contracted and that is my boss and they pay me money to show up.”

Colt Cabana wrestled in less than 12 matches during his time in WWE. He also made ten times more money after his WWE exit. Cabana is now content working in AEW and ROH and that is all that matters to him.
