WWE and UFC finally finalized their merger, and that came with a big change. For the first time in over 40 years, Vince McMahon does not fully run WWE as a majority holder. Now, he has a new boss.
We previously reported that WWE held an employee meeting, and Vince McMahon spoke. He’s back from his medical leave after a spinal surgery, and that break didn’t last long at all.
Sean Sapp noted Vince McMahon actually said something very interesting during that speech at the meeting today. He said that Ari Emanuel is his boss now.
WWE held an employee meeting in Stamford today with Ari Emanuel, Vince McMahon and Nick Khan.
Ari also introduced his daughter Ashlee and noted she works for WWE now.
McMahon referred to Ari as his boss and said that the company had stagnated and this deal was to get them to the next level.
It seems that The Chairman has a new boss, and it’s Ari Emanuel. WWE and UFC’s merger was soon followed by firing over 100 employees from WWE. As of this writing, we have not heard of any talent cuts, but they certainly made room for a lot more people in the WWE HQ.
Ari Emanuel has a ton of power, and he already stated that he talks to Vince McMahon about a lot of questions he has. That doesn’t mean he’s not the boss.
What’s your take on Ari Emanuel being Vince McMahon’s boss now? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you think!
