Jade Cargill wasted no time in becoming a major deal in AEW. She was the TBS Champion for a long time but had to drop it earlier this year. Her time in AEW is over now and reports have suggested she will be debuting in WWE very soon.
Earlier reports indicated that Jade Cargill was done with AEW following her Rampage title match and that she would be making her way to WWE shortly. That was all but confirmed after her AEW contract already expired recently.
In fact, she was also removed from AEW’s roster. While speaking with Josh Martinez on Superstar Crossover, AEW President Tony Khan was asked to comment on the rumors surrounding Jade Cargill making her way to WWE. Khan stated that he couldn’t comment on it but added that Cargill is always welcome in AEW.
“Well, Jade had a great match on Friday night on AEW Rampage and it was a great match against Kris Statlander. Kris Statlander retained the TBS Championship on Rampage on Friday night and I thought that was a great match. Definitely one of the best matches I’ve seen either of them have and I thought really great main event for the show. As far as Jade goes, I can’t really comment on that except to say that Jade has been a great wrestler for AEW and certainly always welcome in AEW. [Jade] could always be somebody we would always love to work with here in AEW.”
Cargill will also be getting much higher than usual money for her WWE run. Jade Cargill’s WWE Creative is a priority for the company as well. It remains to be seen whether Cargill will become a major star in WWE after her debut.
