Karrion Kross had a memorable run in NXT, where he won the NXT Championship twice. However, all of that went to waste after his initial main roster run ended up destroying his reputation and led to his release. Now it appears Karrion Kross explained why he called out Batista for a Bloodsport match back in 2019.

Batista’s final match was against Triple H at WrestleMania 35, where he would lose to The Game. Batista made it a point to never step foot inside the squared circle ever again after that.

Karrion Kross took to Twitter and provided context for a video from 2019, where he called out Batista for a match at Bloodsport. Kross stated that he wanted to be the one to help Batista come out of retirement in the end.

Wild story here.
Short version;
Had came off wrestling Moxley & heard Batista was in the building shooting a zombie film.
Was a huge fan of his growing up, bummed to hear he retired & thought he’d KILL it in Bloodsport.
Was hoping he’d return & would be honored to open that door.

Karrion Kross also has an alarmingly high loss record in WWE. Regardless, it is unlikely Batista will ever return to the squared circle and fans have simply accepted that fact.
