AEW is set for another Grand Slam event in Arthur Ashe Stadium next week. That doesn’t mean they have the same turnout as they have in previous years.
It was once a big deal when Tony Khan booked the famous tennis stadium, but this year will mark the third year the company played Arthur Ashe Stadium. Last year’s event even caused AEW to come at a fan video showing empty seats in the crowd.
We previously noted that ticket sales for Grand Slam have not been amazing. Wrestle Tix posted an update on X to give the actual numbers, so fans can see how much work Tony Khan’s company has to do in Flushing to sell out the venue.
AEW Dynamite / Rampage
Wed • Sep 20 • 7:30 PM
Arthur Ashe Stadium, Flushing, NY
Available Tickets => 4,610
Current Setup => 11,638
Tickets Distributed => 7,028 (+1,210 since last week’s update on here)
The report further noted that several changes have been implemented for the AEW Grand Slam event at Arthur Ashe Stadium. This includes the addition of rows in sections 314 through 318 at the front.
Ticket sales have been influenced by the BOGO (Buy One Get One Free) offer, especially in the loge sections where prices have been reduced. This offer is still accessible in the upper deck using the BTSNYC code on Ticket Master.
Recent days have seen increased ticket sales, surpassing figures since the general public on-sale number. Furthermore, the upper halves of sections 325 through 328 have been removed, though it’s unclear if this was due to complimentary seats or a temporary measure. Daily section counts have been meticulously tracked, taking into account the tickets distributed in the front halves of each section.
We will have complete coverage of AEW Grand Slam and everything else surrounding the event, right here at Ringside News. It could be a big event, complete with exciting matches, but Tony Khan might need to be careful with crowd shots to avoid empty spaces.
