Rhea Ripley Explains How She Handles On-Screen Relationship With Dominik Mysterio During Engagement To Buddy Matthews

Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio are one of the best teams in WWE, and the romantic tension between the two of them gets fans talking. Rhea Ripley’s presence alone might be a big reason why Dirty Dom gets so much heat from fans in the first place.

Rhea Ripley and Buddy Matthews are in a relationship outside pro wrestling. That couple branches company boundaries, but it’s still a professional atmosphere. Needless to say, Buddy Matthews isn’t getting upset about Rhea hanging all over Dominik Mysterio.

WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley recently sat down with Riju Dasgupta. During the interview, Rhea was questioned about the challenges of maintaining a real-life engagement while also portraying an on-screen relationship with Dominik Mysterio. You can watch the video interview below.

“To be honest, it’s pretty easy. Look, I love my fiance. I think he’s great, but when I’m at work, I am a completely different human being. When I’m at work, Dom is my partner. He is my partner in crime. He is my Latino heat, my Dirty Dominik Mysterio, and I will do absolutely anything I can to get him on top of anyone that he’s against. But yeah, for me, it’s sort of like a switch and he understands that as well. That’s why it works.”

Rhea Ripley was then asked what she whispers to Dominik Mysterio during their entrances. She replied to let everyone know that she’s not about to reveal that secret.

“I can’t tell you guys because then the secret is out of the bag and then people won’t talk about it anymore, but it’s pretty spicy stuff.”

Buddy Matthews has to sit at home and watch his fiancé with Dominik Mysterio on WWE television. He knows all about the company booking romantic angles, because the company had him in an on-screen relationship with Dirty Dom’s sister a couple of years ago.
