WWE has a lot of active Superstars, but a few of them aren’t on television as often. Dolph Ziggler used to be a featured act on a weekly basis for WWE, but his absence was certainly noticed.
Dolph Ziggler’s last match was in May at a WWE RAW house show in a match against JD McDonagh. They wrestled to a double count-out in Albany, New York that night, and the Show Off hasn’t been seen since.
One fan posted on X to ask BWE if there are any creative plans for Dolph Ziggler. The bona fide WWE insider then replied to say that the last they heard, Ziggler asked for a break from the company.
“I know he asked for some time off.”
Dolph Ziggler has been with WWE since 2005, and that stretch of time saw him achieve a lot. As a former World Champion, the Show Off is now making comedy club patrons laugh at his stand-up gigs, and he’s been working hard at that craft for years.
Ziggler was a workhorse for WWE for a very long time. There is a reason why he got to wrestle so many top stars, because his consistent performances put him at a top level. Hopefully, his return to the ring will see Ziggler completely refreshed and ready for another run.
We will have to see what Dolph Ziggler does next in WWE. He is still apparently under contract, but Ziggler has also done enough in WWE at this point where he can start to wind down and have no issues with pursuing other interests.
