Jade Cargill made a surprise return on AEW Collision this week. That was followed by hot-shotting a TBS Title match on Rampage this week, and it appears that Cargill is done with the company. As she said her goodbyes backstage at Dynamite, she had her own version of the story.
It was previously noted that there is a thought that Jade Cargill is on her way to WWE. It is assumed that she wrapped up with AEW at Rampage this week. It was later reported that Cargill’s AEW contract could be running up incredibly soon. It should also be noted that Jade Cargill doesn’t need the money.
Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Jade Cargill told fellow AEW talent that she is leaving the company to focus on her minor league baseball team.
“Upon returning backstage following her match with Kris Statlander in Cincinnati, Jade was greeted by several members of the roster who exchanged hugs. It was seen as a farewell within the company. There were many within the company that said she was headed to WWE, but we’ve not heard that she explicitly stated that. Instead she told people she may focus on family and her softball team that she and Brandon Phillips own.”
Jade Cargill and her MLB boyfriend Brandon Phillips own a softball team. They are co-owners of the Texas Smoke, a women’s professional softball team. That team just won the Women’s Professional Fastpitch League championship in their first season.
That softball team might take a lot of time for Jade Cargill, but it is also a very strong possibility that she will also venture to WWE. After all, she has friends in WWE, and she may have even more former AEW stars join her eventually.
