Chyna was a force to be reckoned with during her time in WWE in the late ’90s. She found great success in the company, breaking down several barriers for female wrestlers. Despite being such a big star, she was not without her fair share of controversies. Now it appears there has been a call for Chyna to receive an individual WWE Hall of Fame induction.
The WWE Hall of Famer broke boundaries in many ways for women’s wrestling in general, especially during a time when women wrestlers squaring off against men was simply unheard of.
Chyna will forever be remembered as a trailblazer for women’s wrestling in WWE and her contributions will never be forgotten, long after her untimely passing. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of DX a few years ago, but fans hope she will get her own separate induction in the future.
While speaking on the Keepin’ It 100 with Konnan podcast, pro wrestling legend Konnan made a case for Chyan receiving her own individual WWE Hall of Fame induction.
“You got to remember, her character was over and that’s just as good as if her wrestling was good because she was the first woman to dominate men. She’s like an enforcer. I think she was the first woman in the Royal Rumble. She started DX, which was a revolutionary group, right?”
“I remember they used to call her the ninth wonder of the world. Remember Andre was the eighth? If you remember, she’s the original Mami, what Rhea Ripley is doing now. Remember the whole thing with Eddie.?I remember that Eddie didn’t want to do that gimmick with her because he felt he was playing second fiddle. I was like, ‘Bro, just show them you can do this and they’ll use her for everything else.’ Yeah, so she definitely does deserve to be in the Hall of Fame by herself.”
Only time will tell whether Chyna will receive her own WWE Hall of Fame induction somewhere down the line, as fans feel she definitely deserves such an honor in the future.
