WWE’s Plan For Becky Lynch After NXT Women’s Title Win

Becky Lynch showed up in NXT, and it didn’t take her very long at all to get right to the point. She challenged Tiffany Stratton for the NXT Women’s Title, and that match went down this week. In the end, The Man won the NXT Women’s Championship, but that brings an even bigger question about what is next for her.

WWE’s NXT brand has seen a few main roster Superstars make their way to Tuesday nights. The company wants to build up that show, especially with their television rights deals coming up soon.

Ringside News asked around the main roster WWE creative team about Becky Lynch’s NXT return. We were rhetorically asked in return, “aren’t a lot of main roster performers doing stints in NXT while still remaining on the main roster?”

When we asked if Becky Lynch is taking a break from the main roster to focus on NXT, we were told, “Not that I’ve heard of.” It is apparent that WWE plans to have Becky Lynch continue as NXT Women’s Champion on the main roster.

This NXT Women’s Title win for Becky Lynch will certainly draw attention to the developmental brand. Now, two main roster Superstars, Dominik Mysterio and Becky Lynch, are holding NXT titles.
