Billy Gunn went through a bit of a retirement tease in the process, but that didn’t last long. He returned and won the Trios Titles during the All In London Zero Hour show. That big moment in Wembley Stadium was the destination for some time.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass’ AEW Trios Titles win was actually something that was decided on months ago, in the early Summer. So, all of that retirement talk from Bully Gunn was all a part of the plan to get them to that big win.

We will have to see how long The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn keep those titles. They are a strong team, and AEW fans love them as well. That being said, there are several teams that might want to battle for those titles.

The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn have really taken off with the AEW fans, and it doesn’t seem like that will slow down any time soon. The big question is how the whole ride ends for Anthony Bowens and Max Caster, because they didn’t even enter AEW as a team.
