WWE released a lot of talented stars during the pandemic, including Heath Slater. He found a home in Impact Wrestling, and he has been enjoying himself. That being said, all good things must come to an end.

Impact Wrestling is looking at their future, and they’ve signed a few people to new deals in recent memory. Now, it appears that Heath Slater may not stick around much longer if they can’t figure out a new agreement.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that, the former Heath Slater could be hitting free agency soon. It appears that October is his month for that contract renewal, and a new deal hasn’t been reached.

Fightful Select has learned that Heath Miller, who simply goes by Heath in IMPACT Wrestling, will be a free agent in October as things stand right now. Heath’s deal with IMPACT expires at that time, and a new one has yet to be reached.

Heath Slater was let go by WWE in April 2020 but made a brief return for a single appearance in July 2020. WWE extended a full-time contract offer to him, but he turned it down, citing that it offered only about half of his previous earnings. Subsequently, he decided to join IMPACT Wrestling. Unfortunately, his stint with IMPACT was marred by a significant injury early on, leading to an extension of his contract.

Slater was a member of the Nexus stable, and at present, no active members of that group remain in WWE. He also formed a trio called 3MB alongside Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre, both of whom went on to become WWE Champions.

We will have to see what Heath Slater does next. He may always have a WWE return in his future, which would always give him another chance to fulfill 3MB’s destiny to be a stable full of World Champions.

What’s your take on Heath Slater’s contract status? Should WWE get him back? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you think!
