WWE and UFC’s merger is finalized, and now the future seems bright for the new TKO Holdings group. There are a lot of possibilities down the line, especially if you consider how many events WWE and UFC runs.
The new TKO Holdings Group is set to take off with all the steam and momentum they can right out of the gate. The two companies, WWE and UFC, will also be massive when it comes to cashflow.
Marc Raimondi spoke with WWE President Nick Khan recently, along with UFC COO Lawrence Epstein. During that conversation, it was stated that WWE and UFC can use their new merger as a double-dose offer for tourism authorities down the line. This could open the door to moving into the same location for a package deal.
We could see UFC and WWE events held in the same city on the same weekend. TKO could bring the two promotions to tourism authorities as a package deal and get paid to bring both to a jurisdiction. Site fees have already become a revenue stream for UFC and WWE
It remains to be seen exactly how the new TKO Holdings Group will change WWE. We already reported that Triple H will remain the Chief Content Officer for the company, so he will keep his job as head of WWE’s creative vision.
WWE and UFC have a lot of the same fans. It is very possible that this new merger will open the door for WWE fans to attend a UFC event while they’re in a city before a big pro wrestling show.
Vince McMahon will still be able to make changes as he sees fit, mostly remotely, and that will likely be the new normal moving forward. Fans might find themselves expecting big WWE and UFC events to be promoted in the same city.
