WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash has accomplished a lot in his long and illustrious pro wrestling career. This included a lengthy stint in TNA where he worked with the likes of Samoa Joe. Now it appears Nash recalled smacking Samoa Joe for going into business for himself in TNA.

The WWE Hall Of Famer made a name for himself as Diesel in WWE, where he eventually became the World Champion. He then saw great success as part of the nWo in WCW and would also find success in TNA during his time in the company.

While speaking on the Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash talked about the time Samoa Joe went off script and went into business for himself at Turning Point 2007 after Scott Hall no-showed the event due to a health issue. Joe went on a scathing rant, attacking TNA, Kevin Nash and even urged Dixie Carter to fire him.

Kevin Nash revealed that he then spoke to The Samoan Submission Machine backstage after the incident and smacked him twice, while Joe simply took it. The next day, Joe would apologize for his actions.

”At that point, Joe and I were friends. And I understood his f—ing disappointment and frustration over the fact that Scott no-showed.

I walked up to him and asked him, ‘What the f–k was that? Was that from [Vince] Russo or yours?’ He smirked and said, ‘That was mine.’ So I f—ing open-hand smacked him. He didn’t go down, but he didn’t say anything back, either, so I smacked him again. And he just looked at me.

Joe felt so bad about it that he went in front of all the boys and apologized — directly to me. He didn’t have to do that. But he was man enough to f—ing realize that, ‘I did go into business for myself.'”

Samoa Joe is currently one of the mainstays of AEW television and is engaged in a feud with MJF. As for Kevin Nash, he continues to discuss the prevalent topics in pro wrestling and that’s all that matters to him.
