WWE has a major connection with India, as the company has one of its largest fanbases in the country. WWE has held live events in India in the past and did so again on September 8th in Hyderabad, India. That said, it appears the WWE team dealt with a difficult travel schedule for the event.
The WWE Superstar Spectacle was held at the G. M. C. Balayogi Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad and it was truly a huge event for Indian fans, as they traveled from every corner of the country to make it for the event.
The show featured John Cena teaming up with Seth Rollins to defeat Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci of Imperium in the main event. Even The Great Khali made an appearance and announced he still had one more match in him.
According to a report by PWInsider, the WWE team that went to the show had to return to the United States in time for RAW this week. It was noted that they had to deal with an exhausting travel schedule.
“The trip was pretty rough in that it was in the area of 19 hours flights each way, with the talents landing, going right into media interviews, then performing live and heading right back to the airport for another 19-hour flight.”
While it was a very difficult trip, it was added that the “atmosphere live was absolutely insane and loud in terms of electricity.” Regardless, the WWE Superstar Spectacle event was a huge success and that is all that matters.
