RVD is regarded as one of the all-time greats as far as in-ring action and death-defying stunts are concerned. His innovative moveset put him above his competition in many ways, especially thanks to his extreme moves with chairs. That said, it appears RVD admitted that Shane McMahon using one of his moves bothered him.

Back in 2001, RVD made his way to WWE and joined up with former ECW colleague Tommy Dreamer as part of the ongoing Invasion storyline. During that time he got to work with many stars and that also included Shane McMahon.

RVD is the master of many moves, including the Vandamantor and Vanterminator. While speaking to RJ City, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked if it bothered him that Shane McMahon started using the Vanterminator. RVD admitted that it bothered him, stating that WWE just had a much bigger platform to showcase the move.

Yeah it bothers me a little bit, a little bit yeah. I mean, yeah they had a lot bigger stage than we did, so a lot more people saw that than they would have been exposed to the Los Angeles pay-per-view or whatever it was.

The WWE Hall Of Famer had a solid match against Jack Perry last month on AEW Dynamite. AEW was also very happy with RVD’s performance in his match against Jack Perry. We’ll have to see what’s next in store for him.

What’s your opinion on what RVD said? Do you think Shane McMahon never should have tried to copy RVD? Let us know in the comments!
