Umaga tragically passed away on December 4th, 2009, years before his time was really supposed to be up. His legacy is being carried on by his son Zilla Fatu, who already made his in-ring debut. That being said, it appears Fatu is no longer a part of Reality of Wrestling.
Outside WWE, there are quite a few members of the Anoa’i family that are successful in pro wrestling. Zilla Fatu joined Booker T’s wrestling school Reality of Wrestling back in December last year.
In his in-ring debut, Zilla Fatu impressed many as he even used his father’s Samoan Spike as his finishing move. While speaking during the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T revealed that Zilla Fatu parted ways with the promotion, citing “irreconcilable differences” leading to his exit.
“I been getting a lot of calls, people been hitting us up asking us about Zilla Fatu and when they were going to see him again,” he said. “Honestly, I can’t tell you when you’re gonna see Zilla Fatu again because he is now no longer a part of Reality of Wrestling due to irreconcilable differences, let’s just put it that way.”
We will have to wait and see what the future holds for the young professional wrestler, as there are signs that he could very well join WWE and become part of The Bloodline storyline.
What do you think of what Booker T said? Do you think Zilla Fatu will make his way to WWE soon? Let us know in the comments!
