Edge wrestled his last match in Toronto for WWE, and now he is at a crossroads in his career. He could elect to re-sign with WWE, because an offer is in his inbox, but AEW is also an option.

Jim Ross led WWE’s talent relations for a long time, and he was responsible for giving Edge his first WWE deal. He watched the Rated R Superstar prove himself and become the massive deal he is today. Naturally, Jim Ross knows the potential that Edge brings to the table.

During Grilling JR, Jim Ross spoke about Edge’s situation with AEW. He doesn’t know anything about the situation, but he also spoke about how amazing the possibilities are if Adam Copeland signs with Tony Khan.

“You know, out of all the time I spent around talent at All Out weekend, not one of them ever mentioned to me about [Edge] coming in. Maybe at the after-party, I don’t know, I didn’t go to that, but yeah, it would be great, but I haven’t given it much thought.”

“I mean, but how about Edge vs Kenny Omega, Edge vs Will Ospreay. There are any ways you can capitalize on this, but I haven’t heard anything. I don’t even know if it’s feasible. I have heard through the grapevine that WWE has an offer on the table for him. It is a significant one, as it should be. I don’t know, but it’s a long shot at best that [Edge] comes to work for AEW. I signed him and Christian on the same day back in the say, with their grandiose salary of $200 a week.”

Jim Ross also made a point to note that he wouldn’t spoil Edge’s AEW if it is in the pipeline. He’s been around the pro wrestling business long enough to know better.

It’s also important to remember that Ringside News exclusively reported that the speculation within WWE is still that Edge is AEW bound. That hasn’t changed from our previous exclusive report from a month ago.

Ringside News also previously exclusively reported that there is an internal belief within WWE that Edge is going to AEW. A short time later, Sean Sapp reported that there is also belief within AEW that Tony Khan will ink Adam Copeland to a contract.

Edge’s situation in pro wrestling is always interesting, especially when he’s a free agent. For more on this story, and so many more, stay tuned with us here at Ringside News.
