Zelina Vega Dedicated WWE SmackDown Ring Gear To Father Who Died In 9/11

Zelina Vega’s stock has been on a continuous rise ever since she returned to WWE last year. While Vega did have to go on a hiatus again due to injury, she remained relevant on social media and fans didn’t forget her either. Vega also dedicated her ring gear on Smackdown this week to her father who died in 9/11.

Zelina Vega’s career got a major shot in the arm after joining Legado Del Fantasma last year. Now part of the newly re-introduced Latino World Order, fans have been firmly behind Vega in a big way.

During the 9/11 attacks, Zelina Vega lost her father Michael Trinidad, who was working in one of the twin towers before it was struck by a plane full of passengers. Vega took to Twitter and revealed that her ring gear for Smackdown this week was a tribute to her father.

TV or not. Tonight was for you, Dad. I will bring that title to you, one day.

Zelina Vega has moved past the tragic death of her father, but that does not mean she will never fail to pay tribute to him whenever possible. Vega is now a stronger person after the incident and that is all that matters.
