John Cena is certainly one of the biggest names in pro wrestling history as he has accomplished a great deal in his 20+ years in WWE. He returned on Smackdown last week and was at Payback as well. Now it appears Cena has helped sell tons of tickets for Smackdown shows after he was announced.
John Cena returned during WWE SmackDown this week and laid waste to Jimmy Uso, who rudely interrupted him during the show. He was also the special guest referee for LA Knight vs The Miz’s match, which Knight won.
John Cena will also be part of several episodes of Friday Night Smackdown that will last till the end of October. This includes appearances in Denver, Glendale and many other venues.

According to WrestleTix, John Cena has once again proven to be a major draw for Vince McMahon’s company as the Denver show sold 856 tickets in the few days following his announcement. WWE also sold 1,469 tickets in Glendale, 1,541 in St. Louis, 997, in San Antonio, 622 in Tulsa, and 1,489 in Milwaukee thanks to John Cena’s announcement.
John Cena will also be competing in a tag team match with Seth Rollins as they take on Imperium during the WWE Superstar Spectacle event in India today. We’ll have to see how the match will turn out.
