Chad Gable truly improved his position on WWE television once he got rid of his Shorty-G gimmick. Even WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle is a massive fan of Chad Gable and he has more reason to now after Gable’s series of matches against Gunther on RAW. It appears Gable and Gunther got a standing ovation backstage following their match on RAW this week.
Chad Gable and Gunther have faced off thrice so far, with Gable even handing Gunther his first loss on the main roster via count-out last month. Gunther put his title on the line again on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.
The match turned out to be an instant classic for many. Chad Gable almost had it in the bag, but GUNTHER caught a second win and used a deadly combination of moves to put away Gable and crush his dreams and even made Gable’s daughter cry.
While speaking on The Dale Jr. Download show, Cody Rhodes talked about the backstage reception to Gunther and Chad Gable’s match. The American Nightmare revealed that both men got a standing ovation backstage.

We will have to wait and see whether Chad Gable will be eventually able to defeat Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship, as he is determined to dethrone Gunther now that the latter has made history.
