CM Punk’s AEW firing is still generating conversation. With his history in WWE, a lot of fans are naturally asking whether he has a shot at making a return to WWE.
Finn Balor was questioned about CM Punk, as he’s been a prominent topic in pro wrestling discussions. However, Balor and Punk have yet to face each other in a match, but it’s always possible in the future.
The wrestling career of CM Punk remains uncertain after his release from AEW on Saturday, September 2. Tony Khan stated that he terminated Punk’s contract with cause due to an incident at AEW All In. Khan expressed concerns for his safety and the well-being of others backstage, which led to Punk’s release. Whether or when Punk might make a return to the wrestling ring for another promotion is still uncertain.
While speaking to the Ringer Wrestling Show, Finn Balor was asked by Peter Rosenberg about potentially working with CM Punk in WWE. He wouldn’t reject a match with Punk, because money talks.
“I’d be interested in wrestling a broomstick if someone is going to pay me money. Money talks.”
CM Punk is now free to do as he wishes. He may have other options out there as well. After all, he is still a draw, but people like Ryback have been quick to point out that Punk isn’t the draw that some like to say he is.
