Brock Lesnar is a multi-time World Champion who dominated the world of professional wrestling and combat sports. He has done a lot of risky things in his career and nothing was riskier than what he did at WrestleMania 19. It appears Lesnar even asked WWE for a printed photo of that botch.
In 2003, Brock Lesnar challenged Kurt Angle for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 19. Most people remember the match for The Beast’s terrifying shooting star push, as he landed on his head and almost lost his life.
Former WWE photographer John Giamundo photographed the exact moment when Lesnar’s face hit the ring. While speaking on the Cheap Heat Productions Podcast, Gianmundo revealed that Broc Lesnar recalled how Lesnar reacted when WWE’s magazine department wanted his permission to use the photo. Lesnar simply requested a copy of the photo that he took.
“I said, ‘Hey, do you mind? I got the shot of you hitting the mat,'” Giamundo said. “He’s like, ‘Can you make a copy of that for me? Yeah, I don’t care if you use it. Can you make a print and have it sent to my house?’ I told the office, ‘Yeah, dude, he’s cool with it. Make it 11 x 14, get his address from talent relations, he wants a copy.'”
Brock Lesnar has not been seen on WWE television since his loss to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. We will have to wait and see when The Beast Incarnate will make his triumphant return to WWE.
