AEW hasn’t seen Jade Cargill since she lost the TBS Championship to Kris Statlander at Double or Nothing. That was a big surprise, but her absence since then is also a bit shocking for some fans.
Jade Cargill recently said there’s no place she’d rather be than AEW. Tony Khan also addressed her absence recently, and he said that he hopes to have her back soon.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter provided a bit of an update on Jade Cargill’s current situation with AEW. It was noted that, at this time, there is no talk about when Jade Cargill’s AEW hiatus will end.
“There has been no talk of late regarding if or when Cargill would return to wrestle here.”
In related news, The Texas Smoke, a women’s professional softball team, owned by Jade Cargill and former MLB star Brandon Phillips, won the Women’s Professional Fastpitch softball championship in their inaugural season. This modest operation is situated in Austin, TX, employs 26 individuals, three in the office, three coaches, and 20 players. Cargill and Phillips, are not married, but they are a couple with a daughter. Their ownership of a sports franchise as two individuals of color has garnered notable attention.
Obviously, Jade Cargill isn’t done making noise for herself. She’s also been very busy since her AEW hiatus started. That being said, she also needed the break after carrying the TBS Championship for so long.
