Kairi Sane was one of the best female pro wrestlers that WWE had at one point in time. She had a solid run in NXT, where she would win the NXT Women’s Championship. She is rumored to make her WWE return this year and it appears she explained when she decided to take a leave of absence from pro wrestling.
Sane left WWE’s weekly television programs and moved back to Japan. She earned her degree while there and maintained an ambassador gig with WWE. Many believed her contract with WWE expired, and that was the case as her contract ran out last year.
Kairi Sane went on to compete in STARDOM as well as NJPW on numerous occasions. However, she is currently a free agent and reports have also suggested that the Pirate Princess is making her way back to WWE.
Kairi Sane then confirmed her hiatus amid rumors of her return. While speaking to Proresu-TODAY, Kairi Sane admitted that she was nervous when she made the announcement about her hiatus. Sane also revealed that she decided to take a leave of absence from pro wrestling all the way back in May.
It was around May that I decided to take an indefinite leave of absence in September, but up to that point, I was in a state of confusion, and I wanted to say something, but it took a lot of courage, and I think this kind of announcement is a big deal in one’s career, so I kept it bottled up. I was very nervous when I made the announcement, but the response was more than I expected, and I am very grateful for the attention I received for such a personal matter.
Kairi Sane has also booked additional dates ahead of her impending hiatus at the end of this month. She will also make her WWE return for very good reason. We’ll have to see how Kairi Sane will be booked once she returns to Vince McMahon’s company.
