Bray Wyatt’s passing is still incredibly hard to take for a lot of people in the pro wrestling world. It doesn’t seem real for many fans, as they think about the wonderful talent that they lost, and what could have been. It seems that Bray’s Wyatt6 faction was coming.

Ringside News exclusively reported that we inquired about creative plans for Bray Wyatt that were canceled. We were informed that WWE had intentions to unveil a fresh iteration of the Wyatt Family, and this would have involved a few Superstars whose names had circulated in rumors.

In December 2022, Vincent and Dutch, who perform as The Righteous in Ring of Honor, reportedly attended tryouts at the WWE Performance Center. Additionally, they were spotted in the audience during the December 6 episode of WWE NXT. Certain fans speculated about their potential inclusion in the Wyatt 6, a rumored stable that could have been led by Bray Wyatt. However, this stable never materialized, and The Righteous ultimately made their return to ROH in April 2023.

While speaking on Developmentally Speaking, Dutch was asked whether there was any truth to the rumors about a new Wyatt Family faction. It seems that there was something behind all that.

“I don’t know if we’ll ever know, but definitely seemed like it was leading in that direction. I think it would have been great. We were down in NXT for a week or so back in December. Yeah, the ball seemed to be rolling at the time. It kind of just got stopped for whatever reason. Maybe it was the illness that he had, whatever, I’m not 100% sure. I don’t know if we’ll ever know, but it was definitely a possibility.”

When questioned about whether Wyatt approved of it and if the group originated from him, Dutch mentioned that they had discussions, and various ideas were considered. He explained that the attention generated by the Wyatt 6 contributed to his association with AEW, and he conveyed his appreciation to Wyatt.

“Oh yeah, we talked a lot about having ideas and stuff like that. Never came to fruition, but the ideas and stuff, it was being thrown around. I don’t think that I would be in the position that I am now with AEW if it wasn’t for him. We created that buzz on social media for X amount of months, and whether it happened or not, everything happens for a reason. So I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him right now.”

On a totally unrelated note, AJ Styles said he always wanted to join the Wyatt Family. Sadly, that isn’t going to happen. Also, Summer Rae came pretty close to joining the faction years ago.

We will have to see if WWE ever uses any idea close to Bray Wyatt’s vision, but it would be impossible to replicate. Only time will tell how WWE honors Bray Wyatt in company history, but he has a ton of fans who will never let his memory burn out.
