Bobby Roode is known for his charisma and veteran in-ring ability. With a career spanning several decades, he has earned a reputation as one of the industry’s most dependable performers. Roode entered WWE after a nice run in TNA, and he had a Glorious time in NXT before his main roster call-up. Eventually, he was shuffled to other angles and his name was changed to Robert as well.

Bobby Roode has been recovering from a neck injury that required surgery, so he’s not able to wrestle. In the meantime, he has picked up a job backstage as a producer for WWE.

As we previously reported, Akira Tozawa vs. JD McDonagh wrestled for the Main Event tapings before RAW last week. This was newsworthy, because Bobby Roode produced that match by himself. He was previously shadowing and co-producing segments and matches.

Ringside News reached out to confirm Bobby Roode’s current WWE status. A tenured member of the team told us that Roode seems to “still be just learning the ropes of producing.”

It was noted that producing a Main Event match on his own “is next on the way up to full time.” At this time, there is no word that Bobby Roode has a full-time permanent job just yet as a WWE producer.

We will have to see what the future holds for Bobby Roode in WWE. He could have years ahead of him as a producer for the company, but that still seems to be a work in progress right now.

What’s your take on Bobby Roode as WWE producer? Is that a perfect job for him? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you’re thinking!
