WWE makes a return to India this Friday night with WWE Superstar Spectacle. The main event features John Cena and Seth Rollins facing off against Imperium’s Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser, possibly with WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER in their corner. However, Becky Lynch, known as “The Man,” is notably absent from the show.

Indian fans have waited a long time for WWE to return to their country. Although Becky Lynch was advertised for the Superstar Spectacle, the card is always subject to change.

Becky Lynch logged onto X where she let fans know what her planned trip to India is not going down as she hoped.

I’m sorry to all the fans in Hyderabad, India. I was so excited to perform for you – but as there was a tiny tear in my passport l have not been allowed to board my flight.

Becky Lynch’s mention of Qatar Airways could suggest the validity of her absence claim. Nick Hausman later posted on X to confirm that Becky Lynch’s absence from the India show is not a storyline.

After speaking with a WWE representative, I can confirm that Becky Lynch’s reason for missing WWE Superstar Spectacle is legitimate and not part of a storyline.

Other matches on the WWE Superstar Spectacle card include Rhea Ripley defending the WWE Women’s World Championship against Natalya and Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn taking on Indus Sher’s Sanga and Veer Mahaan with Jinder Mahal. At present, the event is not scheduled for live broadcast on Peacock.

We will have to see how this show plays out. It is a house show, but it is also a big event for those Indian fans who rarely get to see live WWE action.
