CJ Perry debuted for AEW at All Out, and Tony Khan’s company did everything they could to keep that a secret. Now that everyone knows the former Lana is in AEW, the big question is what’s next.
It was previously reported that AEW hasn’t inked CJ Perry to a long-term deal yet. She could very well keep appearing on AEW Collision to continue that storyline she started with Miro.
Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that AEW and CJ Perry were able to make a deal on her AEW All Out appearance “in the week” before the event. Thankfully, they were able to bring everything together in time.
Lana/CJ Perry’s deal came together in the week or so prior to AEW All Out, we’re told. We’re not even sure a name has been decided as of yet.
We will keep a close eye on this situation, because Lana and Rusev were able to do some great things in WWE. Only time will tell what kind of stories they tell in AEW.
CJ Perry has a ton of fans on social media, and her appearances always draw attention to the time she’s on camera. Tony Khan realizes this, and that might have really helped him pull the trigger on bringing her in.
