Sheamus Calls Gunther A ‘Stain On Honky Tonk Man’s Legacy’ After WWE RAW

Sheamus had a great career in WWE, winning multiple championships during his time in the company. The Celtic Warrior has almost done it all when it comes to being a WWE Superstar, but his stock isn’t as high as it used to be. It appears Sheamus decided to mock Gunther after RAW this week.

Sheamus was unable to defeat Gunther at Clash At The Castle, where he challenged The Ring General for the Intercontinental Championship. Even then, the match successfully revitalized Sheamus’ career and made him a huge star.

As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Gunther defended his Intercontinental Championship against Chad Gable and was able to retain it. Thus, he is set to become the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in history.

The Celtic Warrior took to Twitter following the conclusion of Monday Night RAW, Sheamus took to Twitter and mocked Gunther, calling him a stain on the legacy of Honky Tonk Man.

Sheamus also believes that WWE wasted all the momentum he had after the Clash At The Castle event. Regardless, it remains to be seen whether Sheamus will ever get another shot at Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship in the future.
