Kevin Owens is regarded as one of the top WWE Superstars and there is a good reason for that. Owens is currently on a career resurgence after becoming one-half of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions. He lost the titles at Payback and it appears Owens was also pulled from RAW this week at the last moment.

This week’s episode of Monday Night RAW opened with Jey Uso’s appearance and eventual reconciliation with Sami Zayn. However, Kevin Owens was nowhere to be seen on the show and even Zayn stated that Owens won’t be there.

According to PWInsider, there were some changes in plans for Kevin Owens on the show. It was stated that Owens was backstage at the show in Charlotte, NC and was at one point “late in the day” was planned to face JD McDonagh in singles a singles match.

However, Sami Zayn ended up facing JD McDonagh instead. It is not known why Kevin Owens did not make an appearance at the show despite being backstage. Regardless, we’ll have to see what’s next in store for Owens.
