CM Punk’s AEW release followed a wild time in London. He didn’t expect to fight with Jack Perry, but things didn’t get off to a great start either.

CM Punk got lost in London when AEW didn’t send anyone to the airport to pick him up. This is why he had to ride the London Tube system, which resulted in quite a fan photo.

Val Venis heard that part of the CM Punk story, and he couldn’t let it stay in his own head. He logged onto X and he fired off a message that said Tony Khan can’t be trusted if this story is true.

From what I gather, @AEW failed to provide transportation for @CMPunk from the airport to the hotel and building. Unless it was already agreed upon that he would find his own way, that is not a good look for #AEW. If @TonyKhan would do that to his top guy, he cant be trusted.

For what it’s worth, AEW didn’t send anyone to the airport to meet talent. CM Punk wasn’t singled out, but that didn’t stop him from getting a bit lost before All In London.

This is not the first time in recent memory that Val Venis made headlines. He said that Tony Khan should have “grown a pair” and handled this CM Punk situation differently.

CM Punk is still released from AEW, so nothing can change that. We will just have to see where Punk comes around next.
